Tornado in Mississippi-my index cards

The church I attend pass out index cards each year. It's funny I received my index cards in the mail the day after the storm hitted. So here's what I wrote: I remember when I didn't know how to get out of my worker's compensation situation, how was I going to move out of MS. Today you answered my disability case with approval (August). Last month you answered my unemployment appeals with a win. I expect that things will get better and better even when it seems like there's a storm coming or I am in a storm. Everything works to my good-either to grow me, mold me, or working through me to help others.Don't forget that God is always there. There's a season for everything. I am glad, He's with me through all of those seasons. Delicious Save this on Delicious

The Secrets of a Healthy Lifestyle

The physical, mental, spiritual, and social parts of a person are interrelated and inseparable. Our physical condition affects our spiritual condition, and vice versa. Also, what affects the mind, affects the body. By being happy, you can fight diseases better in your body-Proverbs 17:22-A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. 3 John 1:2-God desires that we are in good health and that we prosper, 1 Corinthians 10:31-Do everything including eating or drinking to the glory of God 1.) Pure Air 2.) Sunlight-Prolonged exposure can cause your skin to burn and other damages 3.) Rest-a day of rest-Sabbath day (Saturday) 4.) Exercise 5.) Water 6.) Proper Diet 7.) Avoid harmful things-Proverbs 20:1-Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise, Proverbs 23:29-30, 1 Corinthians 6:10 Alcohol is responsible for 30% of all suicides, 55% of all auto deaths, 60% of all child abuse, and 85% of all home violence. (Kathleen Whalen Fizgerald, Alcoholism (New York:Doubleday, 1988, pxii) 8.)Trust in Divine Power-Psalm 103:24-Heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion The Department of Preventative Medicine at Loma Linda University with an ongoing project has documented that Approximately 50,000 7 day Adventists were studied in California over a 30 year period and results showed that the Adventists men lived 8.9 years longer and the women lived 7.5 years longer than the general population. Mormons also have one of the lowest rates of heart disease. They don't smoke, drink or use beverages containing caffeine. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-Sanctification includes mind, body, emotions as well as other spiritual faculties. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Our body is a temple of God which should be used to glorify God. Proverbs 23:29-32 Don't drink wine (fermented) which brings woe, contention and sorrow. The Power of Prayer and Fasting submit to reddit Delicious Save this on Delicious
