Double-Mindedness
Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.
Romans 4:20
What are you expecting God to do in your life? Do you see God as bigger than the devil? He is! God can meet you at the point of your need today. Nothing is too hard for Jesus!
Your faith must come in line with God's Word. Don't say, "I wonder if it will happen." Instead say, "My God is able!" The Bible says of a double-minded man, "He should not think he will receive anything from the Lord" ( James 1:7).
Once, Dr. Lester Sumrall walked up to Smith Wigglesworth's house with a newspaper under his arm. When Smith Wigglesworth opened the door, he said, "What's that in your hand? Keep that outside!" Wigglesworth didn't allow anything in his house that could make him double-minded.
If you want to receive from the Lord, you must understand that the devil wants to destroy you. Jesus came to set you free. John 10:10 says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Encourage your faith and discourage your doubts by keeping your mind fixed on what God's Word says.
